![]() ![]() ![]() Once again great job and great service you’re providing to the community! I didn’t hear any music either, which is smart because unless you get license/permission you’ll run into copyright issues (even if it’s a radio playing in the background). Then say where you can find a schematic of the reel (in the box or online) and where you can get parts, and what tools you’ll need to do the tear-down. “This is a DAM Quick and it needs general cleaning and lubrication.” “This is a low profile Okuma line counter and the line counter is not advancing and the clicker sounds funny.” Etc. ![]() It would be nice to start the video with a description of the reel and what’s wrong with it. Similarly for assembly, if there’s a part that requires specific orientation or jiggling or movement to assemble, it should be shown in detail but there’s no need to watch every step. ![]() There are bound to be parts that are repetitive or that you can show removal of the first screw then fast forward to finishing the removal of the last screw, etc. Speaking of which, one things that you might consider is overall length of the video. My vision occasionally got distracted/pulled to look at the magnified view, which of course was way off to the left of the camera.ĭefinitely a narration is needed… I like your idea of a voice-over afterwards, because it would let you script and cover some of the topics that are relevant while doing some of the tedious physical parts. Matt, I have no issue with the POV camera approach- I kind of liked it actually, except that your use of a magnifier lens was a little distracting… it would have been nice to either have the camera offset so the magnifier wasn’t in view, or so the camera view was getting the benefit of the magnifier. ![]()
